Maningrida Community 

Local artist Tara Darcy’s artwork Maningrida Community features on four light pole wraps in the Nightcliff Jetty carpark.

The light poles feature designs by Tara Darcy from her work titled Maningrida Community, inspired by her life growing up on the West Arnhem Land coast.

The light pole wraps include vibrant motifs from Tara’s artwork Maningrida Community, inspired by her coastal upbringing in West Arnhem Land. The artwork features colourful turtles, birds, planes, houses and people. 

Tara is a member of the Free Space Studio, a visual arts program run by Arts Access Darwin that supports artists with disability through workshops, access to materials, studio space and opportunities. 

This project was delivered in collaboration with Arts Access Darwin and the Free Space Studio, supporting artists with disability in developing and sharing their work.
