Nightcliff School Traffic Calming Initiatives - Completed November 2021
The Northern Territory Government in collaboration with City of Darwin are undertaking traffic calming initiatives and associated pedestrian and cyclist crossing improvements to improve safety along Nightcliff Road.
The works commenced on 25 August 2021 and are expected to take 8 weeks to complete. Working hours are between 9.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays.
Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.
As part of these works, a lay down area for material and machinery is to be established at the end of Cypress Street. There will be increased traffic in the street accessing the lay down area. Please refer to the below map.
The laydown area will be in place for the duration of the project.
Please note some pathways along Cypress Street will be closed and a detour in place for pedestrians during this time.
Access to residential properties will not be affected.
