Camping in Public Places

Camping or sleeping in any public place within the Darwin municipality is actively discouraged.

Regulating Camping in Public Places

Camping in public spaces is regulated under By-Law 103.  This includes sleeping in a motor vehicle, campervans, caravans and tents.

City of Darwin Rangers regularly monitor our spaces and may issue infringement notices (on the spot fines) for those found camping or sleeping in a public space.
