Darwin Comedy Festival presents the Laugh Lounge Forget boring polished lectures, this is Pitch Please, where comedy collides with the unexpected.

This is the only meeting where laughter is mandatory. Armed with nothing but a mystery slideshow, performers improvise presentations-based PowerPoints they are seeing for the very first time on stage.

As the slides flash up on stage, the audience discovers each bizarre prompt at the exact same moment as the comedian. What follows is a glorious mix of quick wit, bold improvisation, and absolute chaos.

Think motivational speeches gone wrong, serious science spun into silliness, or history lessons that spiral into madness. Each performance is a one-off, fuelled by tropical unpredictability and the courage to roll with whatever comes next. It's fast-paced, visual, and packed with ridiculous surprises. This isn't a traditional comedy show; it's a high-stakes game of imagination propelled by Darwin's own comedy legends.
