We're making some exciting improvements to our library spaces this August.

To prepare for the future and improve our community spaces, we'll be installing new shelving at both Darwin City Library and Karama Library. While the changes may seem modest now, they are an important step in preparing for the new Darwin City Library planned for 2028 and creating more flexible, welcoming library spaces for our community.

Darwin City Library

Closed: Friday 14 August to Wednesday 19 August

During this time, our team will be installing new shelving throughout the library. The library will reopen on Thursday 20 August.

Karama Library

Closed: Thursday 20 August and Friday 21 August

We'll be installing new shelving and taking the opportunity to refresh the library layout, making it easier to browse and discover your next great read. The library will reopen on Saturday 22 August.

Our online library is also available 24/7, with thousands of eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, newspapers and streaming content available with your library membership.
