Seniors at the Library: Travelling Solo
Trains, planes and automobiles have nothing on these intrepid travellers.
Travelling solo can feel daunting to many of us and can sometimes be the barrier to buying the plane ticket, packing the backpack, or fuelling up the car for a road trip.
In this panel session, we will be joined by three women who have hit the pavement, road, and airways solo as mature aged people.
Our panellists will share their preparations, their trepidations, their motivations, and the magic moments of their respective journeys.
Talk: 10 – 11am
Morning tea: 11 – 11:30am
No bookings required.
Meet our panellists:
Catherina is a walker! She has completed numerous walks in Australia from the coasts of Tasmania through to the 240km Larapinta Trail in Central Australia.
Ania has recently returned from a road trip through the guts of Australia in her little red Toyota Prius. Travelling with her trusty four-legged friend Ash, Ania is already planning the next road trip.
Liz travelled through Europe on bus trips, roaming through Iceland, England and Ireland.
