St Mary's is proud to present their 2025 school performance Emotion Commotion - a stage production that explores learning through the world of emotions and personal growth. This year's show blends music, movement, and storytelling to highlight how our feelings shape our understanding of ourselves, others, and the world around us.

At the heart of the story is Miley, a student navigating an ordinary school day filled with change, challenge and self-discovery. As the story unfolds, the audience joins Miley on a heartfelt journey through a colourful landscape of emotions - from joy to disgust, sadness to celebration, and everything in between - ending with high hopes.

Guided by her inner thoughts, Miley begins to understand that all emotions are valid and important. More importantly, she learns that how we express and manage those emotions defines the kind of person we become.

The story comes to life through energetic song and dance, with each musical number reflecting a stage in Miley’s emotional journey. The choreography and lyrics mirror her growth, offering a creative and relatable way for cast and audience to connect – and tie in with St Mary’s Zones of Regulation lessons.

The talented students have poured their hearts into this production, exploring a broad range of emotions and helping to foster empathy, understanding and emotional awareness among peers and families alike.
