In 1967, the National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee (NAIDOC) first began producing posters to commemorate Aboriginal people and their heritage.
The poster competition has since become a feature of NAIDOC Week encouraging artists over 13 years of age to submit their artwork which reflect the year's theme.
This exhibition is a selection of these posters dating back to 1972 with messages that still have relevance today.
