What Do Elected Members Do?
Elected Members of City of Darwin play a vital role in shaping the city’s future. Responsibilities include:

Representing and advocating for the community

Attending regular Council meetings

Collaborating to improve quality of life across all wards

Providing leadership and guidance

Helping allocate resources for public services and facilities
Voting is Compulsory
All eligible voters must participate in the Northern Territory Local Government elections. If you don’t vote and don’t have a valid reason, you may receive a fine under the Local Government Act.
