City of Darwin is inviting community and interest groups from across the municipality to apply for funding in the first round of Community Grants and Sponsorships.
Council has budgeted $425,000 for grants and sponsorship for 2021/2022.
Over 20 years City of Darwin sponsorships have supported many long standing community, cultural and sporting initiatives and festivals, including the Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival and Darwin Festival.
The Community Grants have also injected vital funds to support grassroots projects and one-off events, including the Darwin Harbour Clean-Up.
“City of Darwin supports events and initiatives that directly benefit the Darwin community and reflect our multicultural and vibrant city,” said Lord Mayor Kon Vatskalis.
“We have built valuable long term relationships with many organisations and community groups that have provided us with insights into what our community values.”
