Leisa's School of Dancing and Duprada Dance Company present their annual performance Coppélia - a comedic three act ballet. Come and celebrate the achievements of young dancers whose performance is the culmination of their dedication and enthusiasm for the love of dance.
Villagers in Galicia are preparing for the Harvest Festival and a new bell is gifted to the village by the seigneur and his lady. Celebrations are interrupted when Dr Coppelius, an eccentric alchemist, and his mysterious 'daughter' cause a quarrel between Franz and his fiancée, Swanhilda.
The villagers continue to dance and celebrate until it’s time to leave in anticipation of the Harvest Festival in the morning. However, Swanhilda and her friends sneak into the house of Dr Coppelius to search for the girl they saw on the balcony. That evening, Dr Coppelius catches them and chases them out of his house, all but Swanhilda, who hides in the doll house.
Then Franz arrives and Dr Coppelius comes up with a wicked plan to use his spirit to bring Coppélia to life. Fooled by Swanhilda, Dr Coppelius believes Coppélia has come to life and shows her the magical dolls he has made. Once the young lovers are reunited, Dr Coppelius is left broken-hearted when his most prized possession is truly revealed.
