The Arafura Wind Ensemble, the only community concert band in Darwin has delighted and inspired audiences over the past 30 years.

Together with the Darwin Fringe Festival, Fringe goers are are invited to join the Arafura Wind Ensemble on a ""bell-inspired"" musical journey and a premier performance of a specially-commissioned piece of music by Kieran Hurley that incorporates the ""Beagle Bells"" in Civic Park, Darwin.

The Arafura Wind Ensemble will perform inside the space near the larger ""Bells"" and will be closely connected to its audience who will be invited to share the space in, and around, the smaller ""Bells"".

In addition to featuring the specific ""Bells"" piece, AWE will craft a full 45-minute program which will bring our audience with us on a musical journey that instils joy, unity and the love of community.

This premiere event will be a free outdoor public performance.
