The Youth Advisory Committee's purpose is to give young people a say on Council-related matters that are important to them. The Youth Advisory Committee also assists members and the broader youth community to develop leadership, communication, teamwork and public speaking skills.
The Youth Advisory Commitee also hosts an annual co-design workshop to help guide delivery of City of Darwin's Youth Strategy 2022-2026.
Membership is open to young people 12-25 years who live, work or study in Darwin. Members can join at anytime.
Young people who are interested in knowing more about the committee can attend meetings as an observer. Get in touch via youthprojects@darwin.nt.gov.au if you'd like to come and check it out!
