City of Darwin has a number of vacant retail and office spaces located at West Lane Arcade and Chinatown. Council is prepared to offer these spaces as rent free "Pop - Up Shops” for short periods of time to activate the spaces.

Create and design your own book and you could be the 2017 Young Territory Author of the Year, as entries for the Young Territory Author Awards are now open. This annual writing competition invites young Territorians to write and produce their own book. Lord Mayor Katrina Fong Lim is once again looking forward to being a part of this exciting competition.

City of Darwin is always looking to improve its recreation facilities and would like to hear from you about shade at Nightcliff Pool.

Nightcliff Pool offers a friendly, safe environment to enjoy a range of water-based activities.  In 2015-16, Council upgraded the Nightcliff Pool grounds, including relocating the plant room and landscaping the pool surrounds so that patrons could enjoy uninterrupted vistas of Darwin Harbour. The new pool surrounds offer a beautiful space to enjoy, whether you are swimming or enjoying the view.

We're pleased to announce that the outdoor program for the Fun Bus Mobile Playgroup has commenced!

All parents and carers with children aged 0-5 are welcome to attend our FREE sessions held in different locations throughout Darwin between 9.30am - 11.30am on weekdays.
